The road from Saigoyama Park on Kyu Yamate Dori to Shimouma in Setagaya Ward is called the Olympic Road. The reason was that it was constructed around 1937 as a road leading from Shibuya to the main venue, Komazawa Stadium, in preparation for the Tokyo Olympic Games, which was scheduled to be held in 1940.
Looking at the map, the road is certainly heading toward Shibuya. Where the road was supposed to extend from Shibuya is now unknown.
After all, the 1940 Tokyo Olympics were not held due to the war, but only its name remained.
